Stefano Za è ricercatore senior di Organizzazione Aziendale presso il Dipartimento di Economia Aziendale dell’Università “G. d’Annunzio” di Chieti-Pescara, ed è adjunct professor presso l’Università LUISS Guido Carli. Dal 2014 al 2017 è stato r.t.d. junior presso l’Università eCampus di Novedrate. È stato assegnista di ricerca ed ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Sistemi Informativi Aziendali presso la LUISS e la laurea in Informatica presso l’Università “La Sapienza” di Roma. Dal 2006 al 2016 ha collaborato con il Centro di Ricerca sui Sistemi Informativi (CeRSI “A. D’Atri”) della LUISS Guido Carli. Dal 2016 è membro del CLIO (Centre for Research in Leadership, Innovation and Organization) sempre presso la LUISS. Nel 2008 è stato visiting research fellow presso la facoltà di “Business, Economics and Information Systems” dell’Università di Regensburg (Germania), nel 2013 presso il dipartimento di “Management” della Monash University di Melbourne (Australia), dal 2016 al 2020 è stato visiting professor presso l’EM Strasbourg Business School (Francia) and visiting scholar all’Università di Agder (Norvegia). Ricopre il ruolo di Segretario dell’associazione ItAIS (Italian chapter of the Association for Information Systems – http://www.itais.org) dal 2008. Ha fatto parte del comitato di programma (come programme chair, track chair, Associate Editor e Guest Editor) e svolge attività di reviewer per conferenze nazionali ed internazionali in ambito Organizzazione e Sistemi Informativi (es. WOA, International Conference on Information Systems, European Conference on Information Systems, Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research, ecc.). Il suo principale interesse di ricerca è relativo all’analisi e alla progettazione di sistemi organizzativi e artefatti digitali. In particolare, la sua ricerca è focalizzata sull’innovazione digitale e la trasformazione dei processi e del loro impatto sulle persone e le organizzazioni operanti nell’ecosistema digitale. E’ autore di un libro e di diversi lavori pubblicati su riviste, capitoli di libri e conferenze internazionali come: European Conference on IS (ECIS), International Conference on IS (ICIS), Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP), Lecture Notes in IS and Organization (LNISO), IEEE Wireless Communications, Communications of the Association for Information Systems (CAIS), Information & Management (I&M), British Journal of Educational Technology (BJET), International Journal of Innovation and Learning (IJIL), Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research (JTAER).

SHORT BIO

Stefano Za is Assistant Professor of Organization Studies and Information Systems at University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti – Pescara. Stefano holds a PhD degree in Business Information Systems from LUISS and a Master degree in Computer Science from “La Sapienza” University of Rome. He was an Assistant Professor of Organization Studies and Information Systems at E-Campus University until April 2017. Before joining E-Campus he was a post-doc fellow at LUISS. Since 2006 he has been collaborating with the Research Center on Information Systems (IS) (CeRSI “A. D’Atri”) at LUISS till 2016, where he carries out research activities in national and international projects.

He is member of ERCIS, Secretary of the Italian chapter of AIS (http://www.itais.org) since 2008, affiliate of the research center in Leadership, Innovation and Organisation of LUISS University (CLIO), and research associate of the Center for Digital Communication, Commerce and Culture at the University of Baltimore (Cd3C).

In 2008 he was visiting research fellow at the Faculty of “Business, Economics and IS” of Regensburg University (Germany), in 2013 he was visiting researcher at the Department of “Management” in the Faculty of “Business and Economics” of Monash University (Melbourne, Australia), and he has been visiting professor at the EM Strasbourg Business School (France) from 2016 till 2020. He is a member of program committees and reviewer for national and international conferences and journals in domains of Information Systems and Organization Studies. His main research interest is the analysis and design of digital artefacts and organizational systems. He is currently focused on digital innovations and business transformation affecting people and organizations in the digital ecosystem.
