Assessment Method:

Class work (both presentation and essay) will account for 30% of the final grade. 
The written wid-term examination will account for a further 30%. 
An oral exam will provide the remaining 40%.

 

References:

Students will be examined on what has been said and done in class, and on the texts and documents which will be made available to them in the professor’s website. Beside that, they will be examined on the following texts:

Options

— In the week of November 4 a written midterm exam will be held, concerning the book chosen among those of group 2. Those who cannot/will not take the midterm exam will be examined orally on the whole programme.

— Students are strongly suggested to participate in the classwork (presentation+essay). Those unable to participate must pick not one, but two books of group 2, regarding different countries.

— The book chosen among those of group 2 must concern a different country from that studied in class (presentation+essay).
