Daniele Mascia (PhD) is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Theory and Management with specialization in health care policy and management. His research activity is intended to develop new theory and contribute to practice in the field of health care management. Dr Mascia teaches health care management, organizational behavior and innovation management to postgraduate and undergraduate students, and regularly advises public and private organizations in the health sector (hospitals, biopharmaceutical companies, and medical device manufacturers). He is responsible for the “Strategy and innovation” area of the Graduate School of Health Economics and Management (ALTEMS, Università CATTOLICA del Sacro Cuore), where he holds the position of scientific coordinator of several master programs. Dr Mascia received a number of awards and distinctions from, among others, the Health Care Management Division of Academy of Management. He is member of the Academy of Management and the European Group for Organization Studies, and is on the editorial board for the Health Care Management Review journal. Daniele is evaluator of research projects and individual profiles on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Research and Education (MUR) and the Swiss National Foundation for Scientific Research. Dr Mascia has held a number of visiting fellowships, working at various academic institutions among which The University of Sydney Business School, the KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm), the Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg), and the University of Lugano USI.
