  • 1997-: Full Professor of Business Organization, at the Faculty of Economics of LUISS (the Free International University of Social Science “Guido Carli” in Roma, Italy www.luiss.it), where he is teaching undergraduate, MSc, and PhD courses in Business Organization, Information Systems, and Computer Science.
  • 1998-: Director and founder of the Research Center of Information Systems (Centro di Ricerca sui Sistemi Informativi - CeRSI) of the LUISS University, www.cersi.it, Since 2002 he is also manager of the IT skills certification Center of LUISS
  • 2003-: Founder and President of ItAIS (Italian Association for information Systems www.itais.org) Italian Chapter of the AIS www.aisnet.org. (now Vice President)

Main research interests include: IS, virtual enterprises, e-commerce, telemedicine, databases, computational complexity, and graph theory. In these fields he has more than 150 articles published in journals and books including: Journal of the ACM, SIAM Journal on Computing, Journal of Computer and Systems Science, Information Systems, Information and Software Technology, Industry and Higher Education.
