4. REFERENCES: Plagiarism makes you fail the group project. Please cite all your sources both within the body of the document and at the end (in the reference list). Please use this standard for references: APA STYLE 5. In synthesis just follow these rules:

  • Within the text, please include parenthetical citations. Every time you use a concept by someone, please include the author and year of publication of the source you used in parenthesis after paraphrased text—for example (Coleman, 1997). If you include the author’s name in the sentence, add the year of publication in parenthesis after the name—for example, “As Coleman (1997) argued… .”
  • At the end of the report, create a list of references. The last page of your report should include a detailed list of the references you used to write your paper. Alphabetize your list of references, listing the authors’ last names first.
    • EXAMPLE OF A BOOK: Morales, L. (1987). The history of Cuba. New York: Franklin Watts.
    • EXAMPLE OF A JOURNAL ARTICLE: Gillespie, R.C., & Tupac, R.M. (1976). A Review of Studies on International Human Resource Management. American Management Review, 225, 82-90.
